How to reset Brother DCP Series printer:

Does your Brother DCP model printer display an error like this?
clean unable 46 
     unable to print clean pad is full
Here is the proper reset code sequence to reset DCP printers without numeric keypad:

This instruction is also applicable to printer model: Brother DCP 110C, 115C, 120C, 130C, 135C, 145C, 150C, 165C, 185C

1. Press the Menu, then Mono Start key then press the UP arrow key 4 times to make the machine enter the maintenance mode and “ERROR 46” pops-up in the display.

2. Enter maintenance mode 80: Select 8 by pressing the UP/DOWN arrow key and push OK key and select 0 and push OK key

3. Now Press MONO arrow key several times until you see PURGE:XXXXX

4. Select 2 and push OK, Select 7 and push OK, 8 and push OK, select 3 and push OK and the purge counter is now reset to 00000.

5. Press STOP/EXIT key to go to root of maintenance mode

6. Enter code 99 to exit maintenance mode: Select 9 and push OK, Select 9 and push OK.

How to reset Brother MFC Series printer:

Problem: Brother MFC Printer display “unable to clean” or Error 46
Solution: 

  • First turn of the printer
  • Switch on the machine while holding down the â€śmenu” button until all the leds are flashing on/off. Now you are in “maintenance” mode.
  • Press 80
  • Press the “mono start” button several times until you see “purge: xxxx”
  • Press “2783” in order to reset the purge counter. You will see: “purge:0000”
  • Press the “stop” button.
  • Press “99” to exit the maintenance mode.

🤔 Problem: –Dead and 19V Short.
🛠 Faulty Product : –Motherboard.
🔍 💊💉 Diagnosis & Solutions: –Check and found 19V short or Reverse current  adopter LED off after connecting with Laptop. So open the motherboard and check for 19V Short. Remove main Fuse/CLR and inject 3V 0.998Am form DC Power Supply found one pf cap is short so replace this with working one check again injecting voltage found no short. so re-fix the CLR.  Think that work is done but after connecting Adopter found DC Jack LED not glow and 19V not in CLR .

 

So again start checking no CLR impedance is ok so no short in 19V line ,started reverse checking and found second mosfet   gate not tiger. This gate is control by Charging IC directly trough a register found this register is ok so now the problem in ic.

 Started checking IC requirements to start and 1st test point found problem that ic not getting VCC 19V. Check and found one register is open replace this register. 19V get by the ic and it drive the second mosfet gate so CLR get 19V and board get life. Problem resolved.

🔍 💊💉 Diagnosis & Solutions: –Check and found display become white after some time . 1st check all requirement of LVDS found ok.  Cross check with Working LED and LVDS Cable and confirm that LED Screen is faulty so 1st think LED inbuilt BIOS problem but during checking found BIOS is ok and LED Boosting IC become very hot after some time so check near by all passive and active components for short no short found nearby the IC so directly replace the boosting IC. Problem Solve case done.

🤔 Problem: – No Power and connection Adopter Light of Adopter goes off(19 V Short).

Check and found one pf short in 19V Line remove this 19 Volt problem solve but 3/5 not generating.

Customer was to busy and he bring it to my home for repair next day he has a presentation in office. So I need quick solution . For schematic ask on SK Bhashir Sir Telegram paid group sir provide quick support. Then I started my diagnosis for 3/5 IC requirement all are ok only en-trip is not tiger so check ENTRIP origin found Q201 controlling this ENTRIP and  it’s base not get any voltage whether customer have no time so I remove it and short Pin 1 with 3 ENTRIP generated 3/5 OK .

After providing NBSWON Laptop Started and in USB/Keyboard get LED Blink  so as theoretically display is generated.

But after connecting Display there DIM display issue. so again check for LVDS requirements fond DISPOFF have no voltage so again not put jumper from 3VS to this section. Display back-light come . I have provide it to customer he is happy problem resolved.

**Only Jumper Work done due to customer have not time but I suggest every one find why this signal and voltage not come to actual location and solve . Jumper solution is only quick remedy not permanent solution .

HP Laser Printer is continuously feeding blank sheets Solution 
If hp/canon Laser printer is continuously feeding blank sheets of paper (meaning that it will just keep spitting out blank sheets without stopping, even when you power it off and back on) you probably have a sticking pickup solenoid.  The solenoid is an activator for the paper pickup drive assembly, it is usually about as big as a thumbnail, and it’s a metallic device with a spring and a hook which clips onto the pickup roller drive gear.  These solenoids “click” on and off constantly to allow the gear to spin and drive the paper feed. There is a rubber sound dampening pad on the solenoid, over time the rubber pad tends to wear away and you’re left with sticky glue residue (or a magnetized surface) and a dysfunctional solenoid. When a solenoid malfunctions, in the worst cases the solenoid never releases and the pickup drive gear spins forever, so paper will continuously get picked up and fed through.  The pages are blank because there is no real print job being processed.For some printer models the solenoid is accessible, so if you’re the ambitious type you may be able to disassemble your printer and replace the solenoid (or at least clean the sticky solenoid and apply some fresh felt).

Problem :- No Display.
Diagnosis :- Run With DC Power Suply. Found Amp Rating is 1.30amp. So 1st dry sholder the board(Same Probelm) . Then Programe both Bios Display come but with in 30 sec. again no display. Then Replace the Main BIOS ic and programe it. Problem Solved.
